The Illusion of Freedom

On the walls of Athens’ Temple of Delphi, Socrates’ timeless maxim echoes: “Know yourself.” These words mirror my youthful journey—a blur of beauty pageant stages and global travels, dazzling yet hollow, like fireworks that fade into emptiness.

It was only after shipwrecking on the hidden reefs of the investment world that I learned a hard truth: money betrays, promises crumble, but what you build with your own hands endures.

These trials forced reflection and growth. I quieted my carefree spirit and realized work is not just income—it is values lived, standards upheld. For some, wealth defines success. For me, my compass pointed elsewhere. Hitting rock bottom taught me true pain: sleepless nights of regret outweighed any financial loss.

A Single Message, A Light in the Dark

At my lowest, a WeChat message from a client pierced the darkness:

“Lliss, thank you for helping me reclaim my skin—and myself. I was once a girl with no confidence, afraid to face the world, let alone love. Now, I’ve found courage, marriage, and motherhood. You transformed me from insecurity to happiness.”

Her words still give me chills. In that moment, clarity struck: this is my mission.

No longer empty, no longer working just to survive. Through skincare, I could restore confidence and change lives. This was no longer about beauty—it was about self-worth.
